Basic Foot Care-Information on local resources

Local business owner Monica Altwasser, LPN, FN now operates out of the Sole2Sole Foot Care Clinic owned by Marnie Brenner, RN .  Marnie has been doing foot care for over five years as well as being the diabetic nurse educator for IHA.

Basic Foot Care
Whether you are young or aging, you should be thinking about the health of your feet and nails.  The average person once walked approximately 4,000 steps every day.  This daily average has dropped to approximately 2,000 leading to diseases and conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) to name a few.  The increased rate of childhood obesity and related Type II diabetes is staggering.  With it comes complications which, if left untreated and undiagnosed, can lead to serious complications for your feet and legs.

If you’re reading this, you’re probably already taking some great steps to maintain the health of your feet and avoid pain, discomfort and deformity or maybe you already experience some of these symptoms and are now looking for a ways to improve the health of your feet and the overall quality of your life.

Together with my partner, Marnie Brenner at the Sole 2 Sole Foot Care Clinic in the Williams Lake Seniors Village, we will help to provide you with tips to keep your feet healthy and pain free.  Marnie Brenner, RN is an experienced foot care nurse as well as diabetic nurse educator.  Together, we provide gentle, professional, experienced nursing care for your feet and legs in the newly established and quickly expanding, Sole 2 Sole Foot Care Clinic.  See page 2 for our list of services.  Check back for updates and new links to this growing and exciting field of  nursing foot care.
